Click the link for the Android software you find above these slides. You can also search for "OpenVPN Connect" in Google Play Store. Install the software from there.
There may be a security warning that you have to accept.
After the software was installed, it will start up.
Return to your Browser and sign in to the HomeTunnel site. You can choose to have your credentials remembered for the next time.
The HomeTunnel box detail view should show after successful login. Press "Admin" to reach your HomeTunnel boxes local administration interface.
Login to your HomeTunnel Box (default password is "hometunnel"). If you do not see a login screen, you may have tried to setup your Android device while it is not connected to your home network.
Your credentials should be ready for download. Click on both buttons in succession. There will be a popup indicating that the credential file has been downloaded. Open these files by clicking on "Open".
There is a chance that you miss to click the "Open" button on the popup in time. Note the download icon in the top bar. If you swipe down the top bar, you can also open the files later on.
The credential files should have been associated with OpenVPN Connect, so the program pops up and you can import the credential file(s) by clicking "Accept".
You will see an acknowledgement for the successful credential profile import.
Import the other credential file as well...
After both profiles have been imported, you can switch between them in OpenVPN Connect.
Select your profile and press "Connect".
You must accept the security warning.
If all goes well, you should see after a few seconds, that the VPN connection is up. There are icons in the status bar and you can see the connection stats.
If the VPN connection does not come up in direct mode, read the FAQ or switch to proxy mode by selecting the proxy VPN profile.
The latter are also available in a more detailed version. Now disconnect the VPN connection again.
You can see the icons have disappeared from the status bar. You should always remember to disconnect because VPN connections cause data traffic even when they are not actively used.
Now would also be a good time to change the password on your HomeTunnel box. Congratulations, you are good to go!
